Batho-Pele Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving and uplifting the underprivileged in Dobsonville and surrounding areas. Our name, Batho-Pele, meaning “People First”, reflects our unwavering commitment to placing the well-being of our community at the center of everything we do.
Established with the vision of creating long-term, sustainable change, we go beyond providing immediate relief. We aim to empower individuals and families by equipping them with skills, resources, and opportunities to break the cycle of poverty.
Through food security, youth empowerment, skills training, and environmental sustainability programs, we foster a self-reliant and resilient community where every individual has the chance to thrive.

Our Story
Batho-Pele Foundation was born out of a simple but powerful idea: no one should be left behind.
Our journey began in response to the growing challenges of poverty, unemployment, and food insecurity affecting many families in Dobsonville. What started as a small food relief initiative has now grown into a comprehensive community empowerment movement, reaching hundreds of individuals through education, skills development, and sustainable agriculture programs.
With the support of dedicated volunteers, donors, and partners, we continue to expand our impact and create opportunities for those who need them most.
